MYTHOPOEIC pottery spins out of deep historical roots and from mythic realms of poetry and dreams. Each individual piece made by my hands invokes conscious qualities of spirit, and references diverse ceremonies and mysteries of sacred World Cultures.

Every vessel is made with a specific intention and invites intimate contemplation through use in daily acts of offering, receiving, love, libation and nourishment. My pots reveal their layers of meaning through poetic inscriptions as well as through considerations of form, balance, symbolism, and overlays of surface design. I have entered a new era in my studio practice, through the building and firing of a powerful new wood-soda kiln named Our Bhava ULTRAEA, which has become a wonderful collaborative adventure among four potters.
