I first felt the spell of spinning clay in high school, and although I have explored many different media, the powerMolten lava meeting the sea at dawn, Puna coastline, Hawaii, 09 of fire, and the living spirit of clay, continue to call my soul onward.

I immigrated to Canada as a pottery designer, from Honolulu, Hawaii in 1973.

I am grateful to have been able to sustain the evolution of my work professionally, as I balanced it with the celebration of a rural family life in the West Kootenay mountain rain forests and watersheds of this wonderful country.

My devotion to the shape-shifting entity of Clay endures at  the center of my heart, and continues to be the mirror of introspection that best reflects the chronicles of my spirit.

Abiding love for the magic of each stage of the ceramic process is a nurturing force that leads me steadily forward,  an ever new vision guiding my meditative studio practice.
